- The Confeti Recorder desktop app captures interview conversations on your Mac or PC so recruiters and interviewers can stay present with the candidate. Recordings feed into Confeti’s hiring workspace for transcription, evidence, and evaluation—not a generic meeting archive.
- Do I need the desktop app to use Confeti?
- No. Many teams start in the web app at app.confeti.co. The desktop download is for teams that want native capture on macOS or Windows without adding a third-party meeting bot to the call.
- Which platforms are supported?
- Confeti publishes separate builds for Apple Silicon macOS (.dmg) and 64-bit Windows (.msi). Use the download buttons on this page for the current release; version numbers update when we ship a new Recorder build.
- Does Confeti put a bot in the interview room?
- The desktop workflow is built so capture happens on the interviewer’s machine instead of inviting a notetaker bot into the candidate conversation. Your walkthrough can cover how this fits alongside your meeting stack and ATS.
